A couple of years ago I spent a fantastic 12 months in Australia, working in Sydney & Melbourne and frequenting many of the hip bars. We lived really near Kings Street Wharf in Sydney for 6 months and made Bungalow 8 & The Loft our local. Sydney bars felt chic, stylish and cosmopolitan. Melbourne bars on the other hand, felt quite edgy, cool and underground. Here are some snapshots of these great bar interiors:

Condesa DF is a boutique designer hotel in Mexico. It boasts large & luxurious suites, a cinema, dance hall, boudoir, breakfast room, culture room, terrace, restaurant & bar. I love the cool contemporary colour schemes, modern designer items of furniture and the splashes of retro chic patterns.
I adore the work of designer Tord Boontje. He creates designs from intricate & imaginative patterns inspired by nature. His designs appear on furniture, lighting, interior installations and packaging. His work is modern yet is not minimalist. He has a new book out which is full of wonderful images & details.
